Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") carefully before using the TaleDoor website and services (collectively, the "Service") operated by TaleDoor ("us", "we", or "our").
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you may not access the Service.
1. Intellectual Property and Content Rights
The Service provides access to certain literary works and related materials.
Public Domain Works: Certain underlying textual content provided through the Service consists of historical literary works that are in the public domain. We make no claim of copyright ownership over the original, unaltered public domain texts.
Our Proprietary Rights: Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Service itself—including but not limited to its overall design, user interface, custom reading modes, graphical layouts, generated artwork, software code, algorithms, and the unique curation and formatting of the content—is the exclusive property of TaleDoor and its licensors. These elements are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
License to Use: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial entertainment and reading purposes.
2. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:
- Copying, distributing, or disclosing any part of the Service in any medium, including without limitation by any automated or non-automated "scraping."
- Using any automated system, including without limitation "robots," "spiders," or "offline readers," to access the Service in a manner that sends more request messages to our servers than a human can reasonably produce in the same period of time.
- Attempting to interfere with, compromise the system integrity or security, or decipher any transmissions to or from the servers running the Service.
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling any aspect of the Service.
3. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE. ANY RELIANCE YOU PLACE ON THE SERVICE OR YOUR SAVED PROGRESS IS STRICTLY AT YOUR OWN RISK.
4. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL WE, OUR AFFILIATES, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, USE, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SERVICE.
5. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of the courts located within New Jersey for the purpose of litigating all such claims or disputes.
6. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
